About the event

Staying Grounded: An Introduction to De-Escalation (Saskatoon)
Join us for this free, in-person 2-hour workshop designed for helping professionals and community members who want to respond more effectively in high-stress situations.

In this session, you will learn how to:

- Understand common causes of escalation and how to recognize early warning signs
-Learn and practice strategies for regulating your own emotional responses
- Be introduced to the EVEN de-escalation approach: Empathize, Validate, Encourage, and Negotiate

This session offers a practical introduction to key de-escalation skills and is a condensed version of our full-day Calming Through Connection training.
