Their latest work, Urgent Garden, proposes a community formed/informed contemporary dance project featuring live experimental sound. The series of workshops and performances takes place this spring at Remai Modern, Optimist Park and a community garden in the nearby neighbourhood of Pleasant Hill. Urgent Garden responds to the current moment of political upheaval, social and environmental crises. At Remai Modern, their performances will take place in the Collection Galleries, resonating with themes and key issues in the exhibition, Forecast. The workshops are appropriate for all ages and skill levels. Anyone seeking a creative response to the project themes and who want to move are welcome to participate and perform with KSAMB. All events are free and open to the public. No advanced registration is necessary. KSAMB are participants in the Sustained Artist Mentorship Program.
