INTERNATIONAL FLAMENCO DAY PERFORMANCES:
International Flamenco Day has been celebrated annually in November since 2010, which commemorates the date when UNESCO designated flamenco as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

?Kari Alba and Alma Flamenca present two evenings of performances honouring the cultural richness and authenticity of the art with Duendecillo performers hailing from Cadiz, Spain:
Fernando Gallego El Bancalero (cante voice)
and 
José Vega (flamenco guitar)
?The FIRST of which is 
the professional Gala called "Camelar"; kicked-off 
at The Bassment Jazz Club on Thursday November 13th, 2025 at 7:30pm

Experiencing the euphoria of the ebbing and flowing which sustain both silence and chaos in the natural world within and all around us,
Stomp the earth, clap the air and feel the shivers of emotion bringing intense joy and excitement.
Vocal cords and nylon string chords connect and form profound vibrations that can soothe and excite. 
Let the rhythms, music and dance of flamenco feed your soul and inspire the forces of nature around us.

?Duendecillo, a performance ensemble made up of performers from Cadiz, Spain and Saskatoon, has prepared their third program of flamenco art entitled "Camelar". 
The evening will feature Fernandao Gallego "El Bancalero" (vocals), 
José Vega (guitar), 
Kari Alba (dancer) 
and a number of advanced students from Alba's company 
Alma Flamenca including Pilar Alejandra Alba, Colleen Kastning, Rusty McCaig and Victoria Beaudin.

featuring:
Alma Flamenca students of all ages, performers from Spain in Duendecillo and Kari Alba.
