Thea Loo is a producer and director from Vancouver. Her work spans several successful short films such as No More Parties (2020), which was programmed at Sundance in 2022. Her debut feature documentary Inay premiered in New York City at the Asian American International Film Festival and won the Arbutus Award for Best BC Film at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Filipino-Canadian Association of Saskatchewan (FILCAS) Inc. is the nonprofit umbrella organization serving the Filipino-Canadian community in Saskatchewan.

Established in 1973, FILCAS first served to bring together Filipino newcomers who settled in Saskatoon. As the Filipino population grew, so did the purpose of the organization. What started as a social group to unite Filipino immigrants became a registered non-profit committed to promoting and preserving Filipino culture within the Canadian setting.

In 2020, FILCAS changed its name from “Saskatoon” to “Saskatchewan” to accurately reflect its membership of Filipino-Canadians throughout the province.

This Community Screening is free and open to the public.
