As a child, my sister and I created dances in our bedroom, hanging blankets to separate our “stages,” moving purely for the joy of music and movement.Although life later led me toward sports, motherhood, and a busy, active lifestyle, movement and music always remained close to my heart. Rediscovering dance as an adult — often through kitchen dance parties with my kids — became a powerful way to navigate some of the hardest moments of my life. Dance didn’t fix anything.
