We kindly ask that children under 18 not attend.• Where is the class hosted?We’ll meet outside on the lower level of Save Our Seabirds. Seating is provided, but you’re welcome to bring a folding chair if that's more comfortable for you. Be sure to bring water and anything else you need to stay comfortable in the Florida weather.• Will I get to hold a bird?While there won’t be live birds to handle, you’ll learn handling techniques using our cherished plush toy, Petey the Pelican!• What happens after training?After completing the class, you’ll be invited to submit our volunteer application. Once approved, you’ll be eligible to serve as a rescue volunteer and can indicate the days and times that work best for you.• Is this training available online?We do not offer a live stream or recording of this course.
