The GLADD Gathering

Grief can feel isolating.

It can feel like the world keeps moving while your heart is standing still.

The GLADD Gathering was created so you don’t have to carry that alone.

This is a compassionate, guided space where grief is honored, stories are welcomed, and connection is gently nurtured. Whether your loss is recent or years behind you, whether you feel ready to speak or simply sit quietly — you are welcome here.

You don’t have to explain yourself.
You don’t have to fix anything.
You don’t have to be anywhere other than where you are.

Led by hospice nurse and GLADD founder Christa MacDonald, this gathering offers:

• A safe, non-judgmental environment
• Gentle guidance and reflection
• Optional sharing (never required)
• Community connection
• Space for both tears and laughter

This is not group therapy.
It is not a workshop.

It is a human gathering — rooted in presence, compassion, and love beyond loss.

The GLADD Gathering is for anyone navigating:

• The loss of a loved one
• Anticipatory grief
• Life transitions connected to loss
• A desire to feel less alone in their experience

You do not need to have the “right words.”
You do not need to be at a certain stage of grief.
You simply need to come as you are.

At GLADD, we believe grief is not something to “get over.”
It is love asking to be carried differently.

When grief is shared in community, something shifts.
Not because it disappears — but because it is witnessed.
