Who was Tate, you ask? He wasn’t just a fiberglass fixture perched outside Fish Camp—he was a real, glorious man. Plumber. Handyman. Golfer. Drinker. Poet of profanity. He helped build the bar at the Caragiulo's first restaurant, Caragiulo's Italian-American Restaurant, back in the day and was a drinking buddy of our own Mike Yoder (Caragiulos O.G., now slingin’ drinks at Veronica) and good friend of our very own Chef, Randal Roulette. Yes, really. Sarasota’s weird like that.
Mike and Randal will be judging, and rest assured—they know Tate better than anyone still legally allowed in this town.
