- **Event Description**: In celebration of MLK Jr Day, we will honor his legacy by channeling our energy toward speaking up, spreading love and hope, and supporting our friends and neighbors.

To do this we urge you to:

1.) Join us in a honk and wave (for any or all of the two-hour time period - come as you can).  Bring signs that speak what you're feeling and hoping for.  Bring signs that help folks know they are not alone.  Bring signs urging folks to stop sitting silently and start standing up! If not now, when?!!  We'll have signs to share.

*We'll line the sidewalk along Riverside Park.  People's Chorus will be present with some musical additions.*

2.) Consider bringing food items or cash/check to support the Saranac Lake Ecumenical Council which provides food, heating, and housing assistance for folks in our community.  

*The food drop off will be across the road from the park at the old Lake Flour Cakery parking lot. Please spread the word to let folks know they can just swing through and drop if they're on a time crunch!  Every bit helps!!*
