- **Event Description**: Transport will depart from SS, Capo or JFC based on group preference. We will stop in the lovely town of Sant’Anastasia where you can visit a beautiful pastry shop and walk through one of the most fascinating churches in Italy, a famous pilgrimage destination. 

We will tour a incredible working archaeological site closed to the general public, I.e. a private villa where students of the University of Tokyo are uncovereing statues and frescos, wine tunnels and the clay pots still lodged in the ground for wine making 2000 years ago.  Our private guide and story teller is a 3rd generation archaeologist who creates a unique and interactive presentation for each of our groups based on age, interest and participation.

After our walk about the archaeological dig, we will taste a variety of local white,
red and rose wines including Lacryma Christi, Caprettone and Catalanesca and Piedirosso, aged in steel, barrel and amphora. Our wine tasting will be paired with a variety of local specialties served inside the remains of an ancient Roman cistern on the family vineyards, tomato gardens, apricot and olive groves…

Let us know in advance so that we may accomodate food allergies during as this is a private lunch, not a restaurant.
