Bay Area locals The Sound Field are, at core, a 3-piece electric ensemble: Nic Grabien on bass, Larry Luthi on drums, with a repertoire primarily featuring frontwoman and songwriter Deborah Grabien’s originals (with the occasional eclectic cover). Aided and abetted tonight by Ratdog guitarist Mark Karan, keyboard player extraordinaire Dallis Craft, and Flying Salvias frontwoman and vocalist Kathleen Salvia, the band has worked and recorded with the likes of Pete Sears, Jason Crosby, and David Lindley.
