Cartomancy - Divining with a regular deck of cards

This is a 2 class series and will be held in our Victorian Parlor room to add a a fun mystique feel to the class
$44 per class - You can enroll in just the 1st beginning class (Nov 21) although to understand using the whole deck we recommend enrolling in both.
You will not be able to take the 2nd class without having taken Class 1

Regular playing cards first made their appearance in Europe in the 14th century, about 150 years before Tarot decks were introduced. Cartomancy (divination using cards) emerged shortly after playing cards were introduced. Learn how to read and divine with a regular deck of cards; what is the meaning of each suit and each number and ways to read them together. Reading with a regular deck is fun, because you can almost always find a regular deck of cards, and it's different than Tarot in that it offers very direct information to the querent.

Beginning Cartomancy

Participants will be creating a ‘learning deck’ to practice with in class and at home. The focus will be on cards 1-10 and all suits, then learn & practice reading a 3 card spread together and some other simple ways to read...if time allows we may dip into other readings and get a taste for class 2. All supplies provided.

7pm-8:30pm

Bring your practice deck plus you will get another deck without all your written info on them from class 1, but you will still need your practice deck to write on for learning court cards! The focus will be on the court cards and their meanings, and on additional and more advanced ways to read with a regular deck of cards. Plus a fun surprise gift for all participants in class 2!
