Join us for an unforgettable evening as Benjamin presents his debut nonfiction book, Rakkaat eläimet, joita syömme (Dear Animals We Eat), a powerful exploration of how shifting to plant-based food systems can address climate change, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and water pollution.

In the heart of Los Angeles, famous for its thriving plant-based food scene, we’ll discuss the future of food, the rise of Nordic cuisine, and Finland’s growing innovations in sustainable eating. How is the food system evolving globally — and what role does Finland play in it?

Following Benjamin’s short presentation, the evening continues with a conversation featuring Anna Kajanus and an open Q&A.
About Benjamin Pitkänen

Benjamin Pitkänen, co-founder and Executive Director of Viral Vegans, is among Finland’s leading voices for animal rights and sustainable food systems. A nonfiction author and Master of Social Sciences, he has been recognized on the University of Helsinki’s 30 Under 30 list. His debut book explores the urgent need for a global shift in how we produce and consume food, combining research, advocacy, and storytelling.
