TIL WE ARE FULL
claudia hermano
November 4 - November 14, 2025
Reception: November 7, 5-7pm
Strata Gallery presents TIL WE ARE FULL, a solo exhibition by emerging artist claudia hermano. The exhibition is on view from November 4 - November 14, with a reception on November 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
For this exhibition, hermano brings together large-scale photographic portraits and poetic artist’s books that reflect on the complexities of identity and embodiment. Their practice combines photography, sculpture, and performance to explore how bodies are both lived experiences and cultural constructions. By addressing the intersecting biases of racism, colorism, sizeism, and homophobia, hermano reimagines the body as both subject and medium of resistance.
Working with self-portraits printed on fabric and rephotographed in layered compositions, hermano blurs the boundaries between flesh and textile, presence and representation. The resulting images resist fixed definitions of self, offering instead a vision of identity as multiple, fluid, and continually in process.
Strata Gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday – Saturday. For more information about Strata Gallery, the current exhibit, and the future schedule of events, please visit the Strata Gallery website and Instagram.
