- **Event Description**: Hey all our backyard BBQ kings & Queens come on out and put your skills to the test at our old Smokey cook off! No fancy gear needed, just the American classic, old Smokey!

~Rules & general info~

Entry Fee is $30

Contestants may setup between 7am to 9am

Categories for the cook off are as follows:

Chicken Thighs

Beef Fajitas

Hamburger Open


1. No electric or gas fires will be allowed. Fires must be wood or charcoal.

2. Spots will be assigned by Reighn Williams.

3. Pre-marinating of meats will be allowed.

4. One member of each team must be 18 or older.

5. Each team will be given a 10x10 space. It is the designated head cook's responsibility to maintain a clean and sanitary site.

6. All entries must be cooked on an Old Smokey of any size. Teams may bring more than one Old Smokey.

7. No garnishing or markers are allowed in any container.

8. The Open Hamburger category can contain fixings and sauces of any kind, just no other meats. Be as creative as you would like.

9. Entry containers must have a minimum of 7 samples.

10. Every team is required to have a fire extinguisher.

11. There shall be no grease drippings from grills. Use drip pans if needed.

12.Cooks are to prepare and cook food in as sanitary a manner as possible. Cooking conditions are subject to inspection by the cook off committee. Conditions found to be unsanitary will be grounds for disqualification from this cook off.


Contest meats must be delivered to the designated turn-in point by the turn in times listed below:

- Chicken Thighs

12pm to 12:15 pm

- Beef Fajitas.

1pm to 1:15 pm

- Hamburger Open. 2pm to 2:15 pm

The official time will be the time kept by the cook off committee.

Winners will be announced at 3pm.

Double Blind Judging: You will receive 3 foam trays with lids. Each of these lids will have a numbered ticket affixed to the bottom and a matching numbered ticket inside. You must present this ticket to claim any prize
