Meet your Instructors:

Liz Gomez
After the past two years of teaching Bachata with HD Latin Dance in Taos - this evening will be Liz's farewell to the New Mexico Latin Dance scene - as she will be departing in September to study her master's degree in dance movement therapy in Barcelona Spain!   Liz you will be dearly missed!

A native of Aguagcalientes, Mexico, Liz’s love for dance began at the age of six, when she was immersed in the world of ballet throughout her early childhood and pre-teen years. As a teenager, she explored a wide range of dance styles before discovering modern and contemporary dance.

Her love for Latin dance is deeply rooted in her heritage. She fell in love with Cuban salsa during her first visit to Cuba. More recently, she has been diving into Bachata, continuing to expand her dance journey with presence, joy, and heart.


Stephen Smith
Bachata & Salsa instructor with 15 years of teaching experience. Stephen has toured nationwide teaching Bachata in 29 cities across 14 states, and previously ran a dance business on Maui for 7 years before relocating to New Mexico.
