A Community Coming Together for a Little Fighter

David Gene Hendrix was born on March 17, 2026, with a congenital heart condition. Since entering this world, David has already undergone two major heart surgeries on March 24 and March 30.

Throughout his journey, David has faced incredible challenges including seizures, brain damage, and ongoing heart complications. He remains at Texas Children’s Hospital, where doctors continue evaluating additional surgical options, including a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) and the potential need for a heart transplant.

While David continues his fight, his parents are balancing life between the hospital and home while caring for their three other children. The financial burden of medical expenses, household bills, and constant travel to and from the hospital continues to grow.
