- **Event Description**: On Saturday, May 16, from 1 to 9 pm, the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) will hold its annual Spring Powwow, immediately following the 2026 IAIA Commencement Ceremony. With the energy and spirit of the dancers and drum groups, IAIA Powwows are a vibrant display of our Tribal cultures—embodying the IAIA community’s resilience. This free outdoor event is open to the public on the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) campus at 83 Avan Nu Po Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508.

Gourd Dance begins at 1 pm in the IAIA Dance Circle at the center of campus. The IAIA Community will provide food, drinks, and art sales. Visitors may bring their own lawn chairs. Umbrellas and canopies are allowed in available open spaces.

Vendor Info:

We are pleased that you are interested in being a vendor for the IAIA Powwow. Full payment is required at the time of registration. Please remember that, due to limited space, all booth assignments are final and special requests will be accommodated. Booth and tent space will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. It can, at times, be very sunny, windy, and warm at the IAIA Powwow, so please plan accordingly.

Booth Fee—Registration form must be completed prior to the Powwow. Checks, cash, or money order will not be accepted. (No refunds on cancellations.)

Booth Size—One six-foot table with two chairs will be provided. If you are bringing your own display table or tent, this must be indicated on the registration form, and it must fit in the space allocated. Due to limited space, only one normal-size pop-up style vendor tent will be allowed per registration. Tent or canopy spots are limited, first-come, first-served, and will be assigned at arrival.
