You’re invited to the 2025 Fall President’s Convocation and Campus Blessing today on Thursday, August 28, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. The event will include a campus blessing, convocation with IAIA President Dr. Shelly C. Lowe (Navajo), keynote speaker Tony Abeyta (Navajo) ’86, and a community luncheon. 2025 Fall IAIA President’s Convocation and Campus Blessing
Thu, August 28, 10:30 am–1:00 pm

The event will begin at 10:30 am (MDT) in the Dance Circle with a four-directions campus blessing. The following community members will offer the blessing.

Following the campus blessing, the convocation will take place in the auditorium at 11 pm with a welcome address from IAIA President Dr. Shelly C. Lowe (Navajo) and a keynote address by Tony Abeyta (Navajo) ’86.

10:30–11 am: Campus Blessing, Dance Circle
11 am–12 pm: President’s Convocation, Auditorium (Livestreamed)
12 pm–1 pm: Luncheon and Activities, Dance Circle, menu includes spicy black bean burgers, hot dogs, sweet grass hamburgers, potato salad, garden salad with vegan herb vinaigrette or ranch, and watermelon slices

The President’s Convocation will be livestreamed for our off-campus community members on the IAIA website.
