Not all of us have time to go to an all day or weekend grief ritual, which usually requires travel, planning and resources.  And, some of us have found that talking may not be enough or may stir up something that needs to be explored through the body.  Move your Grief is a communal practice designed to help facilitate an embodied relationship to our multi-dimensional expressions of what grief can be in any given moment. Within a confidential sacred container, we will lay down any pretenses of what grief is “supposed” to look like or feel like, and welcome in the losses with curiosity, love and compassion.  

Ore will offer guided practices and suggestions throughout the session together.  There will be 4 Altars to awe/wonder/joy, anger/rage, sadness/depression, guilt/shame/regret. Everything is optional and there will be multiple modalities to engage creatively in the space. 

 ** This format is especially useful in intentional communities or other communal groups to be in grief together when processing a shared loss or more broadly grieving the state of the world and individual losses. This practice is also a valuable tool for activists, healers, healthcare workers, etc.  

** Loss does not have to be a person.  A job, relationship, natural disaster, global relations, etc.  There are many moments in our lives where grief enters, and when we let grief be expressed through our hearts and bodies, we make space for transformation and healing to occur.
