Julianne Porras-Center is a pastor and poet inspired by the natural world, the communities who call it home, and the Spirit which dwells among them. She holds degrees in English Non-Fiction Writing and Environmental Studies from Brown University, a Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, and upon moving to Santa Cruz County, became a California Certified Naturalist. She is the Executive Director of Somos Watsonville, a non-profit, bilingual café and community space which seeks to empower often marginalized communities in Watsonville to explore and experience spiritual, emotional, and physical wholeness.Come share your spoken word work or poetry with the community, or come out to support our local readers!
