Fierce Vulnerability — Training and lunch with author Kazu Haga
Join us for a transformative day at the intersection of courage and vulnerability with author Kazu Haga. This interactive workshop centered around Kazu's latest book, will provide tools to build movements that transform, rather than perpetuate, cycles of harm.
In times of collapse, we need a movement that sees injustice as a symptom of collective trauma—and embraces its role as a catalyst for healing through transformative action.
We are living in a moment of rupture. Widening division, escalating violence, and ecological collapse are tearing at the fabric of our communities. As democracy falters and the climate crisis magnifies racial and economic injustice, we need responses that heal—not just symptoms, but the root causes—at both the personal and collective levels.
As harm escalates, so must our capacity to respond— not with more opposition, but with deeper healing. Too often, even well-intentioned movements mirror the very patterns of domination they seek to dismantle, reinforcing an “us vs. them” dynamic. This binary lens fractures connection, when what we truly need is wholeness.
We are being called beyond the old models of resistance. Traditional activism alone isn’t enough to meet this moment. Fierce Vulnerability invites us into a new paradigm—blending the enduring wisdom of nonviolent action with the insights of trauma healing and the transformative power of spiritual practice. We cannot shut down systems of harm without tending to the wounds within and between us. If healing is the goal, relationship must be at the center.
This in-person training will be held at the Resource Center For Nonviolence.
