- **Event Description**: We’ve been given a unique opportunity to camp in Santa Cruz at a private campground, owned by the church of one of our board members.  This is relatively short notice, but we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. We need RSVP’s by Monday, Aug 10.  Here are the details:

Camp will be Friday Aug 28 - Sun Aug 30. The campsite has tent sites, full hookup RV sites as well as rustic cabins available. We are told that the cabins are simply bunkhouses with bunkbeds in them. You’ll need to bring your own blankets. There are restrooms and showers on site.  The cabins are a bit away from the RV/tent camping area, so plan to either hike or ride your bike between the two. The campsite has electricity at all RV spots, so we can use them to charge e-bikes as well. 

CCORC will be providing meals Friday night, Sat Am and Sat PM, and Sun Am. Saturday lunch will be on your own either on the trail or at one of the many breweries and eateries in town.

The tentative plan will be to ride Emma McReary and Wilder on one day, and Demo forest another (final schedule to be posted later). We don’t have the exact location of the campsite yet, but plan to drive to the trail head each day. 

Cost will be $60/member for an RV/tent camping spot, and $75/member for a cabin spot. 

This will be a members only event, as CCORC is covering the majority of the costs for the campsite and some of the food. However, it is not too late to join! Just head over to https://www.imba.com/join , and be sure to select CCORC as your local chapter.
