These rich traditions and their healing practices have profoundly shaped both Sam and his work today. During his return voyages to Hawaii, Sam also experienced healing and inspiration from the sounds and “codes” of whales and dolphins, further deepening his connection and dedication to the transformative power of sound. Sam began playing the didgeridoo at 17 and later traveled through New Zealand and Australia, learning about the instrument from its traditional roots.
