ATTENTION BRASS PLAYERS AND ALL MUSIC LOVERS!!!
The Santa Barbara City College Music Department, in collaboration with the Santa Barbara Symphony, are very proud to welcome the legendary virtuoso trombonist Christian Lindberg to lead a FREE master class on Friday, November 14th, from 7:15 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in SBCC's Fe Bland Forum (under the BC building's clock tower on SBCC's West Campus).
This master class will feature the SBCC Trombone Choir as a whole, as well as individual members of the ensemble performing solos, orchestral excerpts, and etudes for Mr. Lindberg to critique.
This master class is part of Christian Lindberg's Artist Residency with the Santa Barbara Symphony, culminating with his performances with The Symphony on November 15th and 16th. Those concerts will include Andrea Tarrodi's Double Trombone Concerto, co-commissioned by The Symphony and Tonhalle Düsseldorf. For tickets to those concerts (including $10 student tickets!), visit: TheSymphony.org.
Most importantly--this master class is open the general public--and will undoubtedly be of great interest to both trombonists and non-trombonists alike!
So come on out on Friday, November 14th at 7:15 p.m. hear some great music and words of wisdom by one of the greatest trombonists of our time! It will be a day filled with music education, a legendary performer, and lots of fun!
