He has performed with ensembles such as the Mingus Big Band, Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band, and the Metropolis Ensemble, appearing at major festivals including Monterey, North Sea, and Montreal Jazz. His studio work includes sessions at Capitol Studios, Van Gelder Studios, and Power Station at BerkleeNYC. As leader of the NYC-based Rat Trap Pack, he released the debut album Aqua Rat in 2023. Now back in his hometown, Wikle continues to perform, compose, and teach, drawing inspiration from Bach to Ellington to contemporary jazz innovators.
