She has worked in international disaster response with World Central Kitchen, partnered with women’s textile cooperatives and traditional midwives in Guatemala, and co-founded Survival Armor, a ballistic protection company in Lee County. As Executive Director of Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships, she facilitated programs to educate communities and protect vulnerable women, children, and men. Lauren has previously curated exhibitions at FGCU’s Archives & Collections and through ArtReach and she currently enjoys curating exhibitions for local artists at the CCA.Lauren is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher and retreat facilitator, integrating mental health education and holistic wellness into her leadership when the opportunity arises.
