We roll out from Dees Brothers Brewery at 6 PM, then glide as a group toward the Sanford Municipal Cemetery—a historic resting place dating back to the late 1800s, tucked quietly beneath old oaks and Spanish moss. Don’t worry, the sun will still be up… mostly. Shadows optional. Goosebumps likely.

🪦 What We’re Doing

We’ll cruise respectfully among the headstones, paying our respects to the generations who built this town long before we were pedaling through it. The cemetery is full of fascinating markers, ornate Victorian stones, and family plots that tell the story of Sanford’s earliest days.

You may spot names tied to Sanford’s founding era—merchants, citrus growers, railroad workers, and community leaders who helped shape the city. 

The cemetery is also known for its beautiful layout, peaceful atmosphere, and the kind of quiet that makes you instinctively lower your voice.
