Monster Creation at Carolina Indie Fest

Join us for a jaw-dropping, skin-crawling experience as we bring a monster to life right before your eyes!

Thanks to support from the Lee County Arts Council, Sanford Yoga & Community Center is teaming up with special effects artist Joh Harp for Monster Madness — a live art installation where YOU get to witness the creation of a full-body creature transformation in real time.

Watch as Joh and his team use professional-grade special effects makeup to sculpt, paint, and build a fully interactive “monster” from the ground up. But beware — this isn’t just an art piece. Once complete, our monster will be roaming Indie Fest, interacting with the crowd and bringing a little eerie magic to the festival atmosphere!

This will take place under the parking deck in the area we are calling "The Big Weird". Joh will be present on Friday night May 23rd as he prepares for Saturday, stop by either day to see his team demonstrate how special effects are truly artistic endeavors.
