- **Event Description**: Come watch and learn how natural fiber has been processed into usable fibers from the past to the present day!About this EventJoin us at Sweat-Morin Homestead as the Fiber Friends spinning group offers fiber tool demonstrations. From 10:00 to 11:30 AM, we will discuss and demonstrate how to turn wool locks into usable roving to spin into yarn. We will be working with a variety of dyed and natural color wools, silk, and other natural fibers combed or carded into batts, roving, puni or rolags.After 11:30 AM, we will focus on a group effort to process donated wool into roving to support the "free learn to spin" classes. The public is welcome to observe!We will have spinning wheels, as well as a weaver demonstrating her skills.Please be aware that we are working with pointy tools.
