Pauley Homestead is hosting an educational meeting featuring state and local officials to bring information to many like ourselves who are going back to the old ways and becoming self sufficient. Whether you are a cottage baker, commercial baker, farm stand owner, agriculture business, or just curious about homesteading, this is the meeting for you! We will open the meeting introducing ourselves and the officials. The officials have been asked to prepare information booths and stations. After the opening, the public will be able to go to the different stations to ask questions or get information for what they may need. The Department of Agriculture, The local health department, The WV Agritourism guides, The Ripley CVB, The state tax department, and more will be available. After we will serve light refreshments and then do a round table discussion.
Pauley Homestead is a huge advocate for others doing what we do and similar. We want to help bring the best and most accurate information to our community, friends, and other small business owners. Many people do not realize the sources or the laws available and the only way for us all to be in compliance is to have the correct information and be educated on it. We want to help and encourage others to be self sufficient, to provide for their families and to pass it on for years to come.
This meeting is open to the public and many will benefit from it. Maybe you have a business and only need to speak with the tax department on how to fill out a form, or maybe you need to know about WV grown or proper labeling.
We love serving our community, and this is just one of the ways we can help. After the meeting I will type up meeting minutes and keep the information on hand. Then as laws change or things update we can always have another meeting, even if just a couple times a year to update the information.
