Robert O. Greer DDS, ScD
Dr. Robert Greer is an Oral Pathologist at the University of Colorado. He has authored over 150 scientific articles and had $5.5 million dollars in research grants. Dr. Greer is author of several novels and reviews books for public radio in Denver. He will speak about current cancer diagnosis and oral cancers that can be fatal.
Kamran Awan PhD, BDS
Dr. Awan is an Oral Medicine Specialist and Assistant Professor at Roseman College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Awan received his PhD from King’s College in London, UK. He is an oral cancer researcher and is an excellent teacher. He has a superb monograph series in oral medicine topics. He will speak on Human Papilloma Virus, how it is spread and subtypes are harmful to humans. He will speak about proper head and neck exams and give the questions that each adult patient should be asked on exam.
William Cosgrove MD
Dr. Cosgrove is a board Certified Pediatrician in Salt Lake City. He is a strong advocate for public health in Utah and beyond. He is on multiple boards and supports public health advocacy. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah, School of Medicine. Dr. Cosgrove will address HPV vaccination for adolescents. He will also review public health trends and statistics of how HPV has grown in incidence. He is a strong voice for quality health and prevention.
Eric Statler (Stage IV Oral Cancer Survivor)
Eric is from Seattle, Washington and is an Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Stage IV Survivor. He will share his story and be very entertaining. He is a full time advocate for oral cancer prevention and early diagnosis of oral cancer. He has a compelling story and you will not forget his presentation. He wants to share his story, especially with dentists.
