We are making Boomerang Bags to support our 2026 education program of waste reduction.

We will be opening our space to create a Boomerang Bag production line with 10+ sewing machines set up as well as a station for overlocking. 

If you have never sewn before or aren’t confident in your skills, be assured you are very welcome to join us. We are happy to teach beginners how to sew and make a bag from scratch. 

We will have tea, coffee and snacks available for you whilst you sew. 

We request that from any bags you make in the session, at least one gets donated to the centre to be used for our program. You will also get to take away the skills to do it again at home or at another sewing bee :) 

WHAT TO BRING (suggestions, but not essential)

-Your enthusiasm!
-A sewing machine / overlocker (only if you have one)
-Any fabric that can be turned in to bags
-Good scissors
-Snacks if you wish to share
