Torn Landscape Mixed Media Workshop

In this two-hour class you will enjoy a calm and supportive atmosphere to relax and focus on the creative process of creating a collage landscape. The artist will teach the basics of compositional elements and the therapeutic benefits of tearing paper with an emphasis on the student expressing their unique perspectives. Students will create a landscape which incorporates a foreground, middle and background using a wide supply of ripped and cut papers of different textures. Students will be able to use the artist’s composition as inspiration but encouraged to add personal and intuitive touches.
Canvas Size: 11x14”
Materials: colored papers, tissue paper, magazine pages, music sheets, wallpaper, handmade paper, acrylic paints, ink pens.
Please feel free to bring a few beads, buttons or other nostalgic objects to include in your landscape.
$10 materials fee due to instructor before class
