Join Robyn of Calligraphy Joburg and Monique of Get Fonted and we'll take you through the ins and outs of modern cursive using a dipping pen (the scary-looking, pointy one you see all over the internet)

Suitable for complete beginners, or anyone who’s tried copperplate or dipping pens on their own and needs a little more help.

This workshop will be fun and is meant to demystify calligraphy and give you a little taste of what it’s all about without leaving you feeling overwhelmed. It’s NOT going to be a serious workshop, and you’re not going to leave as a Calligraphy Master! ?

We’ll cover the following: The correct way to hold your oblique pen (normal straight holder for left-handed people), basic lowercase modern cursive alphabet, how to select and purchase a holder and nib, how to care for your dipping pen.
Perfect for left-handed people too.

We'll provide everything you need to use during the workshop, and there will be lots of pretty inks, pens and other things to buy afterwards.
