This session will be facilitated by a midwife educator,offering the opportunity for asking questions and discussions.T he program aims to cover topics such as:What is labourWhen to call the hospitalThings the birthing woman and their support person can assist them with in labour - at home and in the hospitalInformed Consent and refusalMedical options for pain relief in hospitalMedical intervention and careNewborns' communication and adaption after birthInitiating breastfeedingBecoming a new parentSafety at homeWe recommend you look as soon as possible and select and pay for a program that commences when you are around 28-32 weeks pregnant. Please complete the booking using the birthing woman's name. You and your partner are encouraged to attend. Cost $150.00. One ticket is for two people.The session runs from 8.30am -4pm and will be held at Sandringham Hospital.Tea & coffee is provided. You will need to bring your own lunch.
