The story goes that years ago Ed challenged Judy to a friendly game.

The keyword was “friendly.”

Since then, nobody can remember who won, but both of them are absolutely certain it was them.

Over the years, the competition has escalated. It started with card games. Then board games. Then debates about card game rules. Then debates about who changed the rules. Then debates about whether there were ever rules in the first place.

At this point, we suspect they’re keeping score on a secret ledger hidden somewhere between the antique cars and antique treasures.

On July 11th, they’re opening the field and inviting the rest of us to witness the chaos.

Bring your own dinner.

Bring your own drink.

Bring your own strategy.

Bring a lawyer if you’re planning to play Uno and intend to throw down a Draw Four.

We’ll provide the games.

Judy and Ed will provide the competitive atmosphere.

The Idaho mountains will provide the scenery.

And somebody is probably going home claiming they were robbed.

Expect board games, card games, laughter, storytelling, friendly rivalries, beautiful views, antique cars, and enough fun to keep us entertained until our hands fall asleep or the May’s kick us out.

This is a Deaf gathering open to everyone.

Whether you’re Deaf, Hard of Hearing, hearing, fluent in ASL, know a few signs, or can only sign “pizza” and “thank you,” you’re welcome here.

All ages are welcome.

Families are welcome.

Beginners are welcome.

Nobody is grading your signing.

Except maybe Judy. We’re still investigating.
