2nd Thursday is the approach to the first Tram Tower. The repeat is 300' repeats between the tank up to the first blue tower. This is a shorter repeat with technical and non technical sections. It is easy to stay on trail, and can be fun to wave at people riding the tram.

Parking: At some times this year they were charging a few $ to park at the tram visitor center this year, so you can pay to park and start right at the base of the tram, or park at a lower lot outside of the visitor gates and run along the road. The trailhead is to the right of the tram building and is marked.

We have also parked at County Line Barbeque (9600 Tramway Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122) and followed the trail about 1.3 miles parallel to the road up to the tramway parking lot. This makes for a warm up before you hit the hill repeat and a fast downhill back to the car if you are inclined to blow it out at the end.
