The band:
Elliott Henshaw – drums
Drummer Elliott has been in-demand for many years now working with artists and bands that include; Shirley Bassey, John Lord and Roger Glover (Deep Purple), Paul Anka, Michael Ball, Jane McDonald, Tony Christie, Leo Sayer, David Benoit, Russell Watson, Tony Hadley, The BBC Big Band, The Drifters, Gwen Dickie, Georgie Fame, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, Eric Marienthal, Beverley knight and Phil Collins. He has played on over 20 West End shows that include; Lion King, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen and Bat Out Of Hell. He runs his own band ‘The Elliott Henshaw Band’ that has headlined at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London and also co-runs the 18 band Spice Fusion big band which features a host of A list UK session players.
Andy Scott - saxophone
Sandbach-based composer & saxophonist Andy Scott is a multi-nominated and British Composer Award winner. He’s a founder member of the Apollo Saxophone Quartet (est.1985) and tutor of Saxophone & Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Dedicated to composing, performing, commissioning and recording new music Andy has recorded with Decca (Argo), Naxos, Basho, Chandos & NMC record labels, with works being premiered at Carnegie Hall NYC, the Southbank Centre, Royal Albert Hall & Wigmore Hall. He also leads and writes for his jazz ensemble Group S as well as performing and arranging for the Super Big Tramp Band/John Helliwell.
Paul Kilvington - keyboards
Paul’s been involved in the music industry for the past 40 years. During this time, he’s toured all over the world and performed with many artists including Cathy Dennis, Branford Marsalis, Cleopatra, Bob Mintzer (Yellowjackets), and played on 4 UK tours with legendary American singer Jack Jones. He’s equally capable in soul, jazz, or pop music and has appeared on some of TV’s biggest shows including Top of the pops, Des O’Connor show, Smash hits awards, World music awards Monte Carlo, Arsenio Hall Show, as well as performing in some of the UK’s biggest music venues including Docklands arena, Sheffield Don Valley arena and Wembley stadium.
He also formed the Latin jazz ensemble Amazonia to create his own compositions and has performed at all the major UK jazz festivals since they released their debut CD “Under the Sun” in 2017.
Ollie Collins – bass
Ollie's a professional bass player with live and studio credits that span over 3 decades. Artists and collaborators include; Alan Parsons, Curiosity Killed The Cat, Sister Sledge, The Temptations, Russell Watson, Kenny Thomas, Ryan Adams, Black Rivers/ Doves, Badly Drawn Boy, Parlour Flames and for the last 10 years Ollie has played countless shows with Nearly Dan, who pay homage to the U.S Rock/ Jazz legends Steely Dan. Ollie has also written and produced three studio albums under his own name.
