Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).“Pie” would like to invite you to a 1.5-2 hour cookie decorating class where we will decorate 6 Thanksgiving-themed cookies using 4 icing colors. I’ll be (thanks)giving you all the tips to be great(ful) at sugar cookies!You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, find yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We’ll be decorating six Thanksgiving-themed cookies you’ll be a-maize-ing at!We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!This class is on 11/20/25 and starts at 5pm-7pm sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family. It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!This class is good for ages 8+, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!The class will be held at the Marin Cake Studio in San Rafael, CA located at 1545 4th Street, Suite C. There is on street parking with a meter or side street with free parking.Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!Bring an apron! Things can get messy when you’re workin’ with royal icing – so grab an apron (bonus points if it’s cute – I’ll definitely be asking where you got it).Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!Bring a mask if you’d like! These classes follow the state health guidelines, but if you’d like to wear a mask throughout class – please do!Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the differenceDIY Add-on KitsOrder your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and a quick reference guide on the steps we took to decorate the cookies in class.How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home.
