The Center’s Arts Committee and event founder Debangana Banerjee are putting together Break the Mold to gather, honor, share, and learn more about the female experience Feb. 28 – April 25 at the Price Center & Garden.

The anchor of the annual observance is the all-women’s visual arts show, which begins with a Call for Art set for Tues., Feb. 24 from noon – 6 pm and Wed., Feb. 25 from 10 am. – 5 pm. at the Center. Visit price-center.org for more information and an artist application.

New to the Call for Art this year are updated intake times (later start and close on Tuesdays), a chance to submit an artist’s statement or bio with each show, and a new People’s Choice effort to engage viewers more and provide bragging rights to artists whose work is selected during the Show.

The Break the Mold Opening Reception and IWD Celebration are set for Sunday, March 8 from 3-5 p.m. will feature the visual arts show, remarks, and live music, dance, and poetry performances.
