This year’s event will feature keynote speaker LCDR John E. Krause, USN (Ret.), who will share insights from his distinguished 24-year Navy career, including his time serving in the White House during pivotal moments in our nation’s history.We are especially honored to recognize several Central Coast veterans, including two local heroes who are 105-year-old WWII veterans, in addition to those who served in the Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Gulf War Era, and Post-9/11 era. Let’s come together as a community to show our gratitude and celebrate those who have served and continue to serve our country. The ceremony will include a musical peformance by the SLO County Band with Morro Bay White Caps.Following the ceremony a BBQ lunch will be served onsite by the American Legion, Post 66. The Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum will be open for free tours, with new special exhibits honoring the 250th Anniversary of US Navy and Marine Corps. See you there!A kids craft table will be setup for all ages to create patriotic inspired crafts, as well as, write letters to local veterans.
