The district contains three original adobe structures: the Montanez, the Rios and the Silvas. You can visit the O'Neill Museum to explore local archives and genealogy records. The neighborhood maintains a "slow pace of life" with unpaved dirt streets, pepper trees and cactus. It is a popular destination for day trips, reachable by Amtrak or Metrolink. There is a new development located next to the historic Los Rios district named River Street Marketplace.
