Sign up for the open mic begins at 6:30pm. Featured poet begins shortly after 7pm. Open mic to follow.

Please note that due to our usual Third Thursday falling on the Juneteenth national holiday this year, the Willow Glen Library will be closed and they have asked us to hold our open mic on June 26. So join us for Third Thursday on the fourth Thursday.

Our guest poet tonight is Tha Grinchy UNO!

Biboye Niweigha aka “Tha Grinchy UNO” is a Nigerian spoken word artist that has resided in south side Shark City(San Jose) for the majority of his life.  The melange of a former hobby of b-boying (break-dancing) and hip hop fandom has a massive amount of leverage on his promethean approach to poetry. The motifs of his poems include life lessons and abstract depictions of popular subjects in society.  He is known for dynamic presentations of spoken word pieces by utilizing energetic body language as if he is dancing to the words being uttered.
