We'll dive deep into the major processing techniques—Washed, Natural, and Honey—and explore how each method dramatically influences the final flavor in your mug. We will also touch upon the cutting-edge of coffeewith Co-Fermentation and the complexities of Decaffeination.
• The Roaster's Palette: Understand the impact of heat. Learn how a coffee's flavor profile evolves as it moves from Light, Medium, to Dark Roasts, and how to identify the distinct characteristics of each.
• The Flavor Wheel Unlocked: We will introduce you to the industry-standard Coffee Taster's Flavor Wheel, giving you the vocabulary to accurately describe and appreciate the vast array of notes you find.
• Extraction & Brewing Basics: Get a brief overview of how coffee is extracted, focusing on the pour-over method, and how simple adjustments can optimize flavor.
