This discussion-based exercise will train on and evaluate the new Skilled Nursing Facility Memorandum of Understanding.

Who Should Attend: Skilled Nursing Facility representatives from Emergency Management, Supply Chain, and/or Leadership; ambulance providers

Exercise Objectives:

Provide an educational overview of the newly developed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Skilled Nursing Facilities in Santa Clara County with the goal for facilities to sign by 1/31/2026.
Discuss roles, responsibilities, and procedures in place for skilled nursing facilities to respond to emergency supply chain shortages.
Practice utilizing the “Allied Health Status Report Short Form” to provide the Public Health Department Operations Center with facility situational awareness and resource availability.
Determine supply chain vulnerabilities and evaluate use of the MOU for skilled nursing facilities and ambulance providers to share resources, such as medical supplies, personnel, and equipment during emergencies.
