Overview
This workshop is designed to introduce the attendee to the basic form of the subject letter style as well as many of the associated variations such as serifs and shadows. Using pencils, pens and acrylic markers, attendees will learn and practice various forms of the subject letter style using exemplars and samples provided to them. A handsome collectable manual is provided with the class. All tools and materials will be provided for use in the workshop as well as a surprise take home art supply item of the instructor's choice.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This workshop is recommended for 15 and up.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Visual Philosophy has a parking lot available to attendees in the rear of the building accessible via Julian St. HWY 280, 87 and Diridon Caltrain station are very close.

What's the refund policy?
By purchasing a course or workshop, you are obligated to provide payment in full prior to the start date. Courses and workshops may be cancelled 7 days in advance with money returned. Course and workshop tuition purchased but not completed in full or by the start of course can not be refunded.
About the Instructor – Tim Redd
Tim Redd is a Sign Painter and Lettering Artist with many decades of experience in many related disciplines. Tim has been a long time resident at Visual Philosophy Studios and has taugh lettering, calligraphy and sign painting at various location throughout the Bay Area including formal instruction at Evergreen Valley College, San Jose State University and Stanford University.
