This in-person hands-on skill-building workshop empowers you to performance basic bike maintenance and repair for common issues, including fixing a flat. Participants will each receive a patch kit and a set of tire levers for attending! It is a 3-hour class open to ages 14 and up.What You'll Learn:Air - how to fix a flat and reduce risk of flats by over half, how much air to put in your tires, and how to take wheels on and offBrakes - diagnose what adjustments your brakes need, make them, and determine when pads need to be replaced.Chain+ (transmission) - how to help your chain move smoothly and quietly across the cassette and chainrings (gears).Additional issues/topics may be covered as time allows.You will earn a patch kit and a set of tire levers for attending!What to Bring:Bring your own non-electric bike (no more than 1 per student) to learn and work on! You can also observe another student with their bike if you cannot bring your own bike to the class.
