Desikachar in Chennai, India, returning many times for extended periods of intensive one-on-one study until his death in 2016. In conjunction with her yoga studies, Kate has studied Sanskrit at UC Berkeley, and the Kuppuswami Sastri Research Institute (Madras Sanskrit College) in Chennai, India.Kate leads workshops and trainings for students around the country and is a popular writer, lecturer, teacher trainer, and yoga therapist.
