The Golden Gate Bridge - the Path Forward

Join Denis Mulligan, General Manager and CEO of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District in a talk on the evolving stewardship of one of the world’s most iconic landmarks in a time of rapid change.  This wide ranging talk will cover the ongoing efforts to modernize the bridge and ensure seismic safety as well as comment on the tough choices the District faces regarding federal funding and mandates.

Prior to becoming the General Manager in September 2010, Denis Mulligan was the District Engineer for almost a decade. Before coming to work for the District, he worked for Caltrans for over 18 years. A lifelong Bay Area resident, Mr. Mulligan has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and is registered as a professional engineer in civil engineering in the State of California.
